Codar Tech Africa was founded in 2022 by a team of Nigerian engineers who saw a gap: brilliant African minds were eager to learn tech, but the available training was either prohibitively expensive, poorly taught, or completely disconnected from what employers actually needed.
So we built something different. A school that combined world-class curriculum with affordable pricing. Live instruction from senior Nigerian and global engineers. Codar Tech Africa is founded in a small space in Lagos. Our very first cohort: 5 students learning HTML & CSS.
We move into a bigger campus and expand from a few to several courses with over 400 students enrolled in year two.
We expanded our reach with a new campus in Yaba and Lekki, and increased enrollment to 1,200 students.
We expanded our reach with new more enrollments and strengthened our partnerships with leading tech companies including Baines Microfinance Bank for Student Financing.
